How do I apply a Fabstik?
- Smooth out the fabric when you want to apply your Fabstik. Make sure the surface is clean and wrinkle-free.
- Place your Fabstik on the fabric with the design facing up.
- Heat your iron to medium heat and make sure steam is turned OFF.
- Press the iron firmly over the Fabstik for around 10 seconds.
- Let it cool completely, then slowly peel off the transparent film.
- Place the film back over the design and iron again for a few seconds to make sure your Fabstik is securely fixed.
- Let it cool and you're done!
Can I use Fabstik to cover a stain or mark?
Yes! Fabstiks are great way to give stained or old clothes a fresh new look. Just keep in mind that some lighter designs may not be completely opaque, so a faint stain may still be visible underneath.
What Fabrics can I use fabstik on?
Fabstik work best on cotton, denim, canvas, cotton blends and most regular woven fabrics.
Avoid using them on leather, silk, waterproof fabrics, or heat-sensitive synthetic fabrics.
Pro tip: If you're unsure about the fabric, test a small hidden area first.
What temperature should I set my iron to?
Set your iron to medium heat and make sure steam is switched OFF.
You don't need an extremely hot iron, medium heat is enough to activate your Fabstik.
How long should I iron my Fabstik?
Usually, around 20 seconds of firm, even pressure is enough.
For thicker fabrics like denim, you may need to re-press for a few more seconds to ensure the sticker is properly bonded.
Can I wash clothes after applying Fabstik?
Yes! Let your Fabstik cool and settle properly before washing.
For the best results:
- Turn the garment inside out
- Wash on a gentle/cold cycle
- Avoid harsh scrubbing directly over the Fabstik
- Do not iron directly on the printed design
